What You Should Know About Fireworks Safety:

In 2023, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported an estimated 9,700 injuries related to fireworks. The parts of the body most often injured by fireworks were hands and fingers (an estimated 35 percent of injuries) along with head, face, and ears (an estimated 22 percent). Many of these accidents could have potentially been prevented with simple safety precautions like the Blast Buddy and responsible use.

Laws governing consumer fireworks vary in the United States vary widely from state to state, and from county to county. Be sure to check your state and local laws for regulations governing the possession, distribution or shooting of fireworks. Start with your state's Fire Marshall's office.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the National Council on Fireworks Safety (NSC) provide recommended safety tips to help you celebrate your holidays and special occasions safely when using consumer-grade fireworks. Visit their websites to learn more.
